SUMMARY: INCA TRAIL 4 DAYS AND 3 NIGHTS

We will find valleys that contain the endemic fauna of the high deserts or in the tropics, between the sections of the Puna and the cloud forest. Along the way we will come across archaeological centers such as Pulpituyuq, Llactapata, Wayllabamba, Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, Phuyupatamarca, Wiñayhuayna, Inti Punku and the new wonder of the new world, Machu Picchu."

 1st day:  Cusco - Piscacucho (Km 82) - Llactapata - Wayllabamba

Walk the Inca Trail  and explore the archaeological sites, enjoying incredible landscapes and admiring the snow-capped mountains of the Andes Mountains.

 2nd day:  Wayllabamba - Warmiwañusca - Pacaymayo

Challenge the highest part of the hike,  Warmiwañusca (The Pass of the Dead Woman)  to see from the top the entire Andean landscape that surrounds the Inca Trail.

 3rd day:  Pacaymayo - Runkurakay - Wiñaywayna

Incredible Inca enclosures await us  within the thick jungle, known as the  Cloud Forest.  At night there will be a farewell evening for our great team.

 4th day:  Wiñaywayna - Puerta del Sol - Machu Picchu - Cusco

The great day of their lives! I walk towards the Puerta del Sol  and thus have the first view of  Machu Picchu in all its splendor . With our guide we will explore Machu Picchu to learn about the entire mystical history of the Inca city.

DAY 01: CUSCO - PISCACUHO (KM 82) - LLACTAPATA - WAYLLABAMBA

We begin our trip early in the morning, after picking up all our hikers we will head towards  Ollantaytambo . Where those who want breakfast can have breakfast, then we will continue to  Km. 82 Piscacucho  (2,700 meters above sea level), where the Inca Trail Entry Control is located, then the walk to Machu Picchu will begin, after 2 hours of walking we will arrive at  Llaqtapata  (2,750 meters above sea level), archaeological site of Inca construction that will be explained by our guide. After our visit to this interesting place we will have lunch, prepared by our experienced chef and his team, which will surely leave you amazed by its gastronomy. After lunch we will continue with our walk towards our 1st. camp in  Wayllabamba  (3,000 meters above sea level). Finally, a well-deserved rest, we will have lunch and then dinner, to spend the night.

 Distance traveled:  14 kilometers from Km 82 - Wayllabamba.
 Difficulty:  Easy to Moderate.
 Climate:  Cool with the presence of wind and the nights are cold.
 Initial Altitude:  2,700 meters above sea level. (Km 80 - Piscacucho)
 Camp Altitude:  3,000 meters above sea level. (Wayllabamba)
 Maximum Altitude:  3,000 meters above sea level. (Wayllabamba)
 Meals:  Lunch, Tea time, Dinner.
 Accommodation:  Outdoor camp.
 Activities:  Walk from K82 - Panoramic visit to Llactapata.

DAY 02: WAYLLABAMBA - WARMIWAÑUSCA - PACAYMAYO

In the morning after breakfast we will continue the walk, this time we will begin to ascend slightly for 9 km towards the  Warmiwañusca pass (4,200 meters above sea level) . Warmiwañuaca is the highest point of the Inca Trail, which is a path with stairs which makes it heavier and harder on the legs. It is recommended to do it without haste at your own pace, without worrying that the group will abandon us. Once all the members of the group are gathered we will continue, but this time also descending stone stairs; In this section you can see a variety of flora and will have views that make this Inca Trail unique, then we will arrive at our 2nd. camp in  Pacaymayo (3,600 meters above sea level) . We will have dinner and then spend the night there.

 Distance traveled:  11 kilometers from Wayllabamba - Pacaymayo.
 Difficulty:  Challenging to Challenging.
 Climate:  Cool with the presence of cold and wind, the nights are cold.
 Initial altitude:  3,000 meters above sea level. (Wayllabamba)
 Camp altitude:  3,600 meters above sea level. (Pacaymayo)
 Maximum altitude:  4,200 meters above sea level. (Warmiwañusca)
 Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch, Tea time, Dinner.
 Accommodation:  Outdoor camp.
 Activities:  Ascent to Warmiwañusca and descent to Pacaymayo.

DAY 03: PACAYMAYO - RUNKURAKAY - WIÑAYWAYNA

After breakfast we will continue our walk, this section is 16 km. full of vegetation and many Inca archaeological sites with different functions. The first archaeological site that we will visit will be Runkurakay (3,970 meters above sea level), which is another Inca archaeological complex in the form of towers that has a strategic surveillance site of the eastern valley. Then we continue to Chaquicocha, where we will have lunch, we continue to Phuyupatamarka (which means place or town above the clouds), on the route we will pass through a tunnel carved into rock and continue towards Wiñaywayna, another wonderful complex where we will spend the night. The tour is 8 hours full of beautiful landscapes and vegetation in Wiñaywayna.

 Distance traveled:  16 kilometers from Pacaymayo - Wiñaywayna.
 Difficulty:  Easy to Moderate.
 Climate:  Hot and Cool during the day and at night.
 Initial altitude:  3,600 meters above sea level. (Pacaymayo)
 Camp altitude:  2,400 meters above sea level. (Wiñaywayna)
 Maximum altitude:  3,970 meters above sea level. (Runkurakay)
 Meals:  Breakfast, Lunch, Tea time, Dinner.
 Accommodation:  Outdoor camp.
 Activities:  Guided tours in Runkurakay, Phuyupatamarka and Wiñaywayna.

DAY 04: WIÑAYWAYNA - PUERTA DEL SOL - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

Very early at 3:30 am and after breakfast we will continue the walk towards the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, we will pass through the last checkpoint and continue towards the  Inti Punku  (Sun Gate)  and then to  Machu Picchu . We will have a majestic panoramic view of Machu Picchu, then you will have your guided visit to the place full of history, together with the guide you will visit the most important and prominent sites of the sectors of the ancient Inca City  (Agricultural and Religious Sector) , then you will be able to have time free to take more photos, and explore the Archaeological site on your own. Then we will go down by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, here you will meet your guide so you can share the last lunch (optional and not included in the tour price) and then go to the train station to return to the Town of Ollantaytambo, finally by tourist bus to the city of Cusco.

 Tourist Information:  One day before starting the tour, an informative talk about the trip will be held. Some doubts and questions will be clarified, it is important to take all recommendations and what things to bring for the Inca Trail 4D3N trail. *The informative talk will also be done via messaging  WhatsApp.

ABOUT THE CARRIERS:

The job carried out by the porters is to carry, throughout the trip, all the group's luggage (tents, kitchen, utensils, water, food, equipment, chairs, tables, etc.). Tourists carry their personal luggage, a backpack with things for personal use (clothes, cosmetics, ointments, canteen, flashlight, mat, sleeping bag, etc.), if the tourist does not wish to carry his personal things (which rarely happens), he must hire an extra porter so that He carries his personal things.
